We are a committed ensemble of young, passionate string players who want to share our gifts with the world. We hope to share with you, soon!

The name Aida is taken from Giuseppe Verdi’s opera of the same name. In the opera, Aida is a beautiful Ethiopian princess who is captured and held in Egypt, while beloved by the Pharoah’s military commander.

Aida, for us, symbolizes our ensemble’s commitment to the works of the classical masters, African-American composers, and the lyricism of the vocal arts. The Aida Strings invite you to join us on the journey into the music that we love!
